Protech Zoom 450 Electric RC Helicopters
Protech Zoom 450 in electric and nitro powered versions. Brand new helicopters from the Belgian company Protech. The Zoom 450 EP version starts at base model and works it´s way up to the Pro version.
As this is a generic description of the main features of the Protech range I´ll give you a brief run down of what may make this helicopter different. This covers only the EP range and not the IC.
The main things that pop out to me when I looked at this helicopter is it is an attempt to gain some ground on the Align Trex 450 range.
Where it has advantages... Airframe is assembled at all levels, it offers the end user more convenience by giving them the option of buying different degrees of assembly, more space on the airframe than the Tex 450, battery protection for your precious lipos, positioning on the brushless motor behind the main shaft (max distance from the receiver), aluminium motor mount, designed by 3D pilot Dennis Franks.
Depending on which specification you choose you can start of with the basic airframe, or you buy a bit more and get the brushless motor and ESC installed or buy a bit more and get the digital servos and gyro installed as well as the motor and ESC. Again you can get the 450 EP Pro version (fully upgraded with hot yellow canopy) but this is just the airframe.
What recommendations would I make regarding this helicopter set up? Well we plan to have the a range of brushless motor and ESC option with this helicopter for all budgets. We have the the equivalent brushless motor and ESC as a direct import and we are sure it is the same motor. We will be stocking a range of other including Neu, Skyartec, Align and any other we can get our hands on
