Post subject: 4#3 Receiver repair

Hi Folks,
We had a slight accident the other day Crying or Very sad and the magic smoke escaped from the receiver of our 4#3. Closer examination showed a hole through the plastic outer cover and a hole in the chip that drives the main motor. The motor wires had also overheated and the covering had shrunk back leaving exposed bare wire.
OK so we can replace the motor no problem but has anyone tried replacing the blown chip? and if so where did you get one?
Any advice gratefully received

Paul
