Just bought the beltcp and have a question about the charger and battery. It takes a long time to charge these with the stock charger. I read somewhere this is because it first charges the pack relatively fast and then goes into balancing mode for a couple of hours. Is this true, and if so does that mean after approx 2.25 hours (1800mAh/800mA) the battery is pretty much fully charged, but just not balanced? Or is that all wrong and it balances while charging?
It's also strange the Esky website doesn't list the EK2-0851 as a balancer charger. In fact the picture of the charger just has "charger" on the label where mine says "balancer charger". Weird. They also say effective charging current is 750mA. That plus charging losses would push charge time to a minimum 2.5 hrs. Obviously the battery is never fully discharged, but I see now why they take so long.
