Board Rules and some Terms

We don't really need any as you are all too well behaved!

But below are just a few.

Please do not:

  1. Open multiple accounts.
  2. Place large or non helicopter related images in your signature or avatar. (It drives members crazy)
  3. Think that your question is too trivial to post. (That will make me sad)
  4. Think you are asking a stupid question ( there is no such thing when you are learning).
  5. Say your are sorry or apologize to me ( I will ban your instantly if you do)
  6. Swear, or use alternative characters to imply swearing, we are a family friendly forum and it will not be tolerated. If the forum word censor removes any word do not circumvent the system.
  7. Post only in capital letters, if you are annoyed or angry about someone or something then email or send a pm to me in CAPITALS and I'll will give you a shoulder to cry on
  8. Go off Topic, it can takes ages again to retrace the original post (use the off Topic forum)
  9. Post links or item numbers or any post referring to any items you may see or be selling on E-Bay they will be deleted Explanation Here
  10. Post replies that do not help members, (bumping) they will be deleted. Go to off topic to chat.
  11. Please keep pictures to a max size of 600:400 pixels. Please use the Heliguy pic-uploader, this will resize your images for you.
  12. Flame, name, condemn or discredit any company via a post, it is not fair on the company concerned, always contact the company and follow their complaints procedures, such posts will be edited or deleted.
  13. Pm or email or try to arrange a meeting with a moderator or administrator to help fix your helicopter or for a personal reply to a problem - one reply to a pm or email will only help one person, post in the forums to help many more.
  14. Abuse ShoutBox this includes but is not limited to bad language, abuse/flame of other users, posting inappropriate content or links and spamming. break the rules and expect a ban. Please post helicopter questions in the forums not in the ShoutBox.
  15. Please do not request bit torrents or program serial numbers or cracks via a post or the shoutbox.
  16. Please do not re- add links or words that have been deleted by a moderator, they will have been deleted for a reason. Anyone found to be doing this will be in trouble, (we don't like banning people so please don't give us reason to)
  17. Please do not make duplicate or double posts, any such post's found will have one post deleted with no recourse.
  18. Do not use the Heliguy forums as a platform to sell or try to sell your products - they may be deleted without any warnings at all - use the Special request forum after reading and abiding by the conditions of use.
  19. Do not be rude to other members that are trying to help you with a problem. Remember that the other users do not have your helicopter in front of them so will logically go through and try to solve the problem with you, if you already tried one of their suggestions, simply report that you have and then try the next thing. Politeness doesn't cost nothing and you will get more replies this way.
  20. Do not post the names of other commercial helicopters sites, whilst Heliguy firmly believes in competition it is not acceptable to give them free advertising. They don't give Heliguy any!

Please do

  1. Read the FAQ's for answers to most common questions.
