Just want to confirm my understanding (or misunderstanding) of Autotrim / land press SET button – they both achieve the same thing in slightly different ways?

With Autotrim, you fly a stable hover for 10 seconds or more and set the TX trims to where they need to be for this stable hover, and then when you press/switch Autotrim the HC remembers the trim adjusted settings as the new standard centred settings…. So you are now over-trimmed and need to get both the cyclic stick (aileron and elevator) trims back to centre position? Yes?

Without Autotrim, you fly and establish the TX trim positions as required and land, press the SET button for 1 second until the LED glows green and release SET button. This resets the HC internal neutral position settings, and while the HC ‘reboots’ itself, you reset the TX trims back to their centre positions? Yes?

I have checked a number of postings but seek a clear answer please, so that I understand this correctly.
