Upgrading the head of the Honeybee king 2.
What you'll need,
Basic tools and some thread lock

The parts required to upgrade are.
EK5-0201 Main Blade Clamps
EK5-0208 Alloy Rotor Head
EK5-0203 Alloy Swash Plate
EK5-0202 Alloy Washout Assembly

Step one: The central holder.
Exploded view.......................................Complete.

The center part must be passed through the main head and fastened using the silver screws prior to completion.

Apply a little thread lock to the threaded area. Note the way the arms go.

Step two: The fly bar & holder.
Insert your fly bar through the holder, apply a little thread lock on the grub screws. Measure the fly bar until it is centered in the holder and the holders are level with each other.

Step three: The Blade holders and feathering shaft.
There seem to be a few versions of the washers for the feathering shaft, so here are two.
version one has a elongated brass washer and a steel washer with the rubber o ring.

The older ones have a slightly raised brass washer and a few steel washers.

The two bearing holders have different inside diameter holes, the smaller holed one goes on the outside of the blade holder (closer to the blade). The easiest way to find which is which is to put them on the shaft. The smaller hole is tighter (the right hand one)

Insert the bearing holder, bearing and outer holder onto the shaft and lightly fasten the grub screw (apply a little thread lock) then pass it through the blade holder. Once through the holder add either the small brass washer with the raised side towards the bearing, or the small steel washer and brass washer if you are using the newer version. Then insert the rubber O ring.

Pass the shaft through the head, remembering to place the collar in first.

Then reverse the order of the washers etc for the other side.

New version...........Old version

Remember the smaller holed bearing holder goes in first with the grooved side facing out. Then the bearing, with open side facing in and finally the outer holder.

Put a little thread lock on the end of the screw and tighten both using Allen keys until the blade holders are secure but free to move.

Note: There is some consusion over what the new brass washer does, it will work as above but I will try to find out the correct way to install the larger brass washer asap.

Step four: mounting your upgrades.
Assuming you've already removed your old parts you will need to use these bits.

Put the new swash plate on the shaft. Then add the washout base. Note the direction of the arms.

Clip the washout arms to the swash plate.
Add the washout guide. Line up the head on the shaft so the holes match. Insert the retaining pin.

Slide the washout guide up onto the head and insert the grub screw, apply some thread lock and tighten over the retaining pin.

The control links can be passed (small leg to the top) over the cnc blade grips and fastened to the ball joints.

The short control links attach here.

The long links go here.

There you go one upgraded CNC head.

Have fun and fly safe.
