I had a minor crash and replaced the entire tail section from a spares kit. I went through the usual routine of tracking the blades etc and everything looked good. I switched on the DX6i and then the heli and the gyro did it's usual thing of blinking then staying solid after a few seconds. Everything seemed normal but when I attempted a hover the heli span wildy in an anti clockwise diretion as if the gyro was not working. When I move the rudder stick the servo and tail move as expected and the belt tension is fine. The tail blade is spinning and looks completley normal. The position of the bearing holder on the tail shaft is 1/3 of the way along the shaft as per the note on page 15 of the manual.

I have tried changing the switch from reverse to normal on the gyro and played with the gain but no joy. I have also tried reversing the rudder on the transmitter but nothing makes a differnce.

Can someone confirm one thing. Which way should the bearing holder on the tail shaft slide when you move the rudder stick left. When I move the rudder stick left the bearing holder slides along the tail shaft towards the boom. Can't say I have noticed before if this is normal or not. Other than checking this not sure what else to do.

I guess it can only point to a faulty gyro but any help would be much appreciated.

This is the kit I have got and some of my original settings in case it helps:
DGX6i & AR6200
SG90's on tail and head
Stock rate gyro

DX6i settings:

Rudder: is "normal" in the "Reversed" menu.
Gyro settings are: SW-GYRO 0: 50% 1:50%
Switch on gyro is "reversed".
Gain on the gyro is about 45%
