I've been upgrading my stock CP Belt with the available CNC upgrades and reckon there are a number of errors etc that anyone else doing this should be aware of.
1) In the cnc head upgrade, you get all the screws APART from the ones needed to screw the feathering shaft holder into the cnc head. The parts diagram in the manual doesn't show these, and if you look carefully in the assembly instructions diagram they just 'mystically' appear!
(Also, the exploded assembly diagram EK5-0208 shows the cap heads incorrectly bolting the mixing arms into the head. Maybe that's why the didn't think any were needed?). These screws need to be quite shallow headed, and short, otherwise they foul the flybar internally or the mixer arms externally.
2) Inside the manual back page, at the bottom of the page, the exploded diagram of the cnc blade holders / feathering shaft shows 2 plain washers between the shaped washer and the rubber 'O' ring. These aren't shown on the bigger exploded head assembly diagram just above it, but if you look carefully at the assembly pictures then they are shown.
They also aren't supplied, and I think you actually need them to stop the 'O' ring from coming out of the head. I used a second set of 'O' rings (from the original stock head) and there is now much less slop.
3) Upgrade EK5-0445 (Swashplate mount) and EK5-0446 (Left and Right Rudder controller i.e. servo to swashplate 90 degree arms) can't be fitted to the stock sideframes. Wouldn't it be nice if they bothered to mention that!
Anyone tried this upgrade and found different?
Cheers,
