**Edit 06 Dec 2007 - "To all who read this post please be advised it has become quite long & wanders about a lot ... but it is all genuine experiences of a newbie building his first heli & contains much useful information, some of which is vital to a newbie like I was when I began the post. Yes I'm still a newbie only a month later, but a much wiser one
Thanks to all the people who continue to contribe as I have learnt a huge amount in a short space of time & I would not have done so without this post. I hope it helps others as well & that you all have a much fun as I am having.

Today I powered up my Trex 450x for the first time, what a good feeling, especially as its the first heli I've built
This is a learning project before I built an SE v2, both in building & flying!
Its probably a good thing the weather has been pants today & saved me from trying to lift off as I need more sim time!
Right now I still have some setting up to do & have yet to figure out the gyro





Great fun though
