..we've got this heading in the 450 and 500 forums.. so hey!


I hav a minor incident yesterday when I overcooked my abilities (yet again) by barrel-rolling too close to a planet and gravity caught up with me.

Not too much damage on my scale..so fixed it up last night and went out today. Used my duddest pack for tracking and some simple hovering and fig 8's.. then poer started to drop earlier thn it should have and I sruggled heli back to the pad.

The lipo deans was so hot it had softened the deans.. the brass pulled out..

I manage to wedge it back in when cooled and put a fresh pack on ..zilch, nadd, zero, etc.. Looks like the esc got cooked too..

With the 450 sponatneously exploding in mid air last week I'm gettign a bit frazzled at the attrition rate. I don't mind when it's my fault directly... (and do accept that 600 has been in the dirt quite often).. but all the mechanical failures of late are wearing me down..

That's á grand's worth of batteries and assorted spares today..even buying what I can wait for abroad..and includes essentials like infra red temp guns and a better tachometer..

I just need my own machine shop with cnc machine and electrical store and I'll be about there
