Hi,I just recieved the FMA co-pilot FS8 system yesterday and figured I'd let people know how it really works for a beginner. The system is pretty easy to install, just follow the directions closely. It takes about an hour to install if you take your time and do it right. My flying level is still just above beginner I would say.I can hover fine and do forward flight, side to side flight and some side in hovering.I cannot fly nose in really at all.About 10 seconds nose in max and then I either bail out or crash Confused I was usually good for about 1 crash per weekend I would say Crying or Very sad That gets pretty expensive.I want to enjoy flying my heli and not put money into it every week.I installed the co-pilot and fired it up for the first time in an open parking lot.It was very windy during my first flights and probably wouldn't have flown if I wasn't so impatient with testing the co-pilotThe system does fight your inputs to an extent but the sensitivity is adjustable.I brought 4 battery packs with me and I sucessfully hovered 2 full packs nose in without much effort. My 1st time really nose in.If you get into trouble and dumbthumb or are going to crash for any reason you can just let go of the stick and the heli will level itself out and save you from a crash. You still have to fly the heli but I would compare it to flying a coaxial heli.It keeps forward flight rock steady as well as backward flight.I can definately see this system saveing alot of money in spares and wish I had had it when I was just starting out.It would have saved me "hundreds" of dollars. For a beginner,I would definately recommend this unit.I understand that some people consider it a crutch and just do not like this sort of system.I wouldn't recommend useing this system all the time.I will use it and lessen the sensitivity according to my flying progress. But I would say that for a beginner it could just make the difference between waiting for parts and waiting for batteries to charge. Cool I just flew nose in,fast forward flight, circuits, and fast backward flight. My heli is still in 1 piece and I am waiting for batteries to charge and not spares to arrive. That is what I was hoping for so I will give the co-pilot a big thumbs up for the beginner. Razz
