Hello all, newbie here, great and helpful site .Im new to posting too so....This old post (2ch to 4 ch )was the topic i was searching for when i found heliguys . .Ive been messing around with fix wing for a little while and just recently i was given a dragonfly with a fried reciever and a burnt main motor .After a few trial and error radio/motor combinations .it finally made its first hop off the ground using a motor and the reciever and radio from a 2ch harbor freight plane w/thrust steering .Im using cell phone batteries for power .But i had too much tail rotor push with no trim adjust.I finally stopped the spinning by clipping about a 1/32" at a time off the rotor length and blade diameter until it was somewhat stable then paying close attention to the left -right toggle It actually went airborn and in control.------Now for giggles I would like to know if anyone has ever gotten full foward and possibly reverse flight using the tiny 2ch thrust steering motors and electronics from one of the smaller wal mart foam type fix wings. Mounting a motor underneath the helo fuse with a pusher prop facing rear ward and possibly the second facing foward .Getting the 2nd one to shut off while the other spins would be the problem there and of course a different Freq than the main helo.Mounting the transmitters side by side..I could buy a 3-4 ch helo that does all of this but for me this is half the fun .Any input appreciated. thanks Ed
