Last night I was haveing some good flying...went through a pack and put in a new,freshly charged pack. Hooked her up as usual...TX on, Battery, wait for Gyro to initiate...everthing cool...I then switched the Gyro from Rate to HH and heard a loud "POP". It sounded like it came from the servo but I was not close enought to really hear where the sound came from. I didn't see smoke checked all the servo movements and didnt see anything unusal. Started to spin her up and then the tail servo started twitching uncontrolably and all the way to the rear (not in its normal 90 from boom position) and of course the heli started to spin CCW. Did the Gyro smoke the servo? It seems the servo is toast? Is the gyro itself dead? I have a EK2-7040A Gyro and HTX900 servos.
