Got the HBK2 airbourne at last at the weekend thanks to Radds school of flight. But only after a little drama went to the local park should of kept it on the deck as it was a little bit gusty, but I couldn't wait up she went and over she went only damage bent tail boom. Back to the garage straightened it out and waited for the wind to ease of. Managed to get it up a couple of feet quite a few time and once I was nearly in control, too many trees and cars etc about as I was out the front of my house and a breeze kept taking it in one direction guess I should have given it some beans and went for it.
I have been reading on this forum about the problems with the plastic Extreme plastic blades, I am running a 3900 Esky brushless motor, 2200 ma 30c battery with 9 tooth pinion also the 43 tooth idler gear. Would I be better of going back to the wooden blades for ease of flying, any other tips greatfully received.
I am also looking to get something bigger soon so as I can fly in wind and not have to wait for a really still day, any suggestions for a newbie I was thinking of a Blade 400 or if i'm very good to the wife a Trex 500.
