On the third loop (not pretty ones) the tail kicked out. I frantically tried to save the heli and gained altitude and pulled the stick the wrong way. The heli said "See ya!" and of he went.
The heli headed straight for the tallest tree he could find and decided to make a cozy nest in the top of it, 58 feet up! I heard a smash/crack sound and all was quiet. Only the birds were singing and the sun was shining. All I wanted to do was cry....Lots...
The heli was snuggled up HIGH up in the tree.
All my effort to use the sticks to get it down was unsuccessful. It was only twitching up in the top of the tree. The heli decided that you can get a little memory of me and the canopy was "thrown"/fell down.
So here I stand in the woods with only a canopy left of my heli. I called the fire station, friends but no one could help or had any good ideas how to get it down. One of the suggestions I got was was: "Shake the tree." (It was 1,5 feet thick at the base)... I felt despair and finally decided to go home. I wanted to sell all my gear....
Just when I was heading home to put an advertisement on the internet for a coconuttree climber, this guy shows up on the path in the woods and asked me "Is that a RC helicopter in the tree?". I said "Yes". He said "I am a professional tree climber and I can help you get it down". I though, what a cruel joke to play on me, but he was serious.
I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP...
He went home to get his gear and came back 15 minutes later.
40 minutes later the heli came crashing down (it was so high up and the branches so thin, that he had to use a 12 feet pole to get it down) and back into my possesion again. I gave him 50£ and almost kissed him in happiness.
Notice how small the climber is compared to the tree...

Went home and ordered parts. The parts came after a few days, and after 8 hours of repair and 50£ in parts the heli is ready to fly/crash again...
I think I have used up my luck for a while
