Lama problem right out of the box

I just purchased a Lama V4 and received it yesterday. I charged the battery and installed it and extended both antennas, put the throttle in the down position and the trim and then plugged in the battery. Then all Heck broke loose . The Lama was calibrating itself and the rotors started to turn wildly, so I unplugged the battery. I waited for a few minutes to check what happened. I plugged the battery back in and the same thing happened but then it stopped, but when I tried to move the throttle(left stick) up only one rotor would spin. I tried to move the the right stick and the both rotors would move erratically. I got online with live support and they could not help me so I sent it back today for them to exchange. What would cause this to happen?
