LTG2100 and DX6i No tail lock please help!

hey heli gurus , i have just purchaced a logitecth LTG2100 with matching servo and i think ive got it set right , the only problem is that i cannot change it from rate mode to TL mode , the green LED is off , in flight it compinsates the tail fine and their is minimal drift , and when i click my gear switch on my DX6i and restart the heli the TL LED stays off and wont go into tail lock mode, im a bit of a newbie to gyros as im only used to walkera ones and not sure if i have it all setup correctly in my DX6i i have followed all the guides their are but nothing tells me about setting it with the DX6i , any help will be great because im itching to fly it again , cheers
