I just installed the Esky gyro and a new Hitec 85 tail servo. The gyro appears to orient and change from red to blue but the servo doesn't move. A little tug on the servo buzzes showing it is being held in center position. I set my DX7 to rate mode 25% (half way on the rate side 0-50). Switch set in rate mode, normal flight mode. Auto gyro sense = 1 or rate mode. The gyro sense is set on gear channel so the Tx is set to Gear=Gyro. Gyro is plugged into rudder and single sense wire on the signal side of gear.
However when I move the rudder left and right, nothing, the servo is held at center. I unhooked the servo and tested it on a servo tester and it passed just fine swings back and forth. I know the gyro is lit up. Either I have something configured wrong or the gyro is defective. Any thoughts? BTW using and external SportBEC 6v due to digital cyclic servos, I know the servos are okay with 6v not sure about the Esky Gyro?
