I here alot about head speeds max rpm of motors verses pinion size and main gear size, also some people stick to 288mm blades and no bigger others like me have had 315 blades and got good response but what I dont know is the science behind it all. I know how to calculate a gear ratio and i understand that 1500 rpm is good for hover but i dont understand max head speeds or why people use shorter blades on one and long blades on another..can anyone put it into laymans terms for me so i dont just stick 600mm blades on it to see what happens..thats the expensive way of learnig. Please Thank You.. Confused
