OK cant see the major dos and don'ts in the stickies,............ so for the newbies,.. and we have ALL been there,.... A list of SERIOUS 'Dos' & 'Don'ts'!!

1/... NEVER SWITCH THE HELI ON, BEFORE THE CONTROLLER!!

(Good chance the heli will hit the roof/wall/floor/do the funky chicken/chop your fingers/face..... before you can find your receipt, for the return of your damaged heli.....)

2/..... NEVER ABUSE YOUR LIPOS & CHARGER...

Please, they are high risk, if abused!! read the safety leaflet, and if there isnt one, look in the manual sections for one...they are in there...

3/.... ALWAYS PRE-FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES....
i.e. test all the stick movements, before you whack the throttle up!!! A heli can cause an awful lot of injury/damage!! make sure you have control of it.....

4/... CHECK AREA IS SAFE!!!!!!
any kids/dogs/walkers passing?? should you be here?? is it a safe area to fly???? Even balsa blades at 200 MPH will do damage, check!!!

5/... JUST ONE LAST GO......
I bet more damage/crashes/injuries are caused by trying to squeeze in 'just that one, last, quick flight.' than anything else!!!! It often ends in tears!!

6/... DONT CARRY THE HELI POWERED UP!!!!!

if you do, and then catch the throttle on a stock controller, or without 'throttle hold' set, guess what??? somebody is going to get hurt!!!!

7/..... REPLACE THE STOCK, BRUSHED MOTOR!!

Its gonna fail soon, replace it, before it lets you down, and costs you loads in repairs!!!
A decent brushless, and matching ESC, is worth its weight in gold......

8/... GET SOME INSURANCE!!!!
Join your countries flying model association/club,.. insurance is usually included in membership.....

Over to you guys, please feel free to add your do's and donts,......

I dont want to come across as an 'Old Biddy', but, lets be careful out there.....

This hobby is a load of fun,.. lets try to keep it that way,....

Cheers, Safe Flying Fred
