Hi
I've read a few of the topics here and there seems to be a danger of the ESC overheating. I don't understand the reason why the heatsink is wrapped in plastic. I assume it is heatshrink or the like and holds the heatsink onto the tops of the power transistors or whatever. Surely it defeats the purpose of having the heatsink with fins. On mine I have trimmed the plastic away from most of the fins and only left enough at the ends and a strip in the centre to hold the heatsink firmly in place. I've used it like this for a couple of months with no trouble.
Any comments?? Question
