I have a Trex 450 XL with the same indirect to swash linkages,
Trust me, just looking at the controls make the thing fly of in another direction.

The sluggishnes is probably due to slow servo's or ...

Great batteries for the king.
The C rating is bogus, it's much lower than the rating they claim.
For the king that's not so much of a problem. For a Trex it results in very short flighttimes.

Problem indeed with the stock TX is that the Idle up is limited to about 80%.
During hard 3D that might prove not to be enough.

Get that HBK2 programmed into the DX7.
