| throttle trim should be at minimum to set throttle range correctly, any throttle trim on, will show that up when setting the range, in other words, any trim on, and you wont have full throttle range. | |

| personally i would learn to hover and be fairly comfortable with it, before spending on upgrades.
extra batteries is a plus for a start. and make sure you have some training gear fitted. |
