Cool, glad you got it sorted.

Both motors on mine (main and tail) were jammed right against the cogs when I got it - loosening them off made it much better.

The little tail motors don't last lon ...

The tail motor won't be pulling much current at all - I'd guess at less than 2 amps.

You need a gyro, unless you're an absolute expert. A cruddy cheap gyro will be infinitely better than none at al ...

Last time I put mine into idle-up mode was when I tried to do a loop.

One spectacular crash later, and I'm not touching that switch again for a while Smile

We have quite a model flying club at work now - one of the lads has a T-Rex, and I've got a HoneyBee CP2. I've also had a go with his T-Rex.

It makes the honeybee look rubbish Smile. It's much more st ...

You'd need a 110v charger obviously, but apart from that I can't imagine any problems.

Which batteries are you worried about? The helicopter one, or the transmitter ones?

The DF4 can pick up speed frighteningly quickly, but as you say, you'll be trying to avoid that to start with.

Ok, don't panic. These things are a pig to set up right, but they fly nicely when you've got it.

Turn the gain screw so it's about half way around - if it goes round and round, it's running over th ...

The DF4 is a good start - I learned to fly helis with that, plus it's cheap as chips if you do smash it to bits. The only downsides are that you can't really fly it in any sort of wind, and the radio ...

They do - it's called a T-Rex, and costs a bloody great big pile of money. Smile

There are two little screws on the orange 4-in-1 receiver box. One of these is marked "proportion", the other is "gain".

Turning the proportion screw clockwise means the tail rotor will spi ...

It'll drift left a bit on takeoff, that's normal. Just make sure it's balanced, and set the trims so it only drifts left a little bit when it gets light on its skids as you throttle up.
