Why I said change to Aux3 was because by default the Gyro uses Aux2 channel. This may be why you see your mode values changing. Just an idea.

You might get more help on RunRyder in the AP section with 9303's.
I know my way round Futabas but Spectrum and JR are a little bit different.
For the moment I woul ...

Actually there is no reason not to do an initial set upon the bench ,(ground), the first time you use AT. This will re-set the readings from the default of '0' and help prevent the jump you talk abou ...

Auto trim works by applying the offset of the current stick position to what it thinks is TX neutral. It is only valid for the particular moment in time when you trim. It also has the effect of, well ...

Do you know why your Autotrim jumped every time you used it?
I can't see how your method of setting up is going to take the place of AT. Its well known that you get a jum ...

Maybe I'm being a little slow here.

No not the TX - Set centre/neutral points would have been a better description. Sorry.

HC needs to know what centre (level) is.

You can experiment yoursel ...

Been following your thread on HeliFreak!

The wires you so far have connected are right. You need to decide which switch or lever you want to use control the HC modes.
I'm not sure if you can use ...

They are purely ON/OFF channels so I think the answer is no. You can't adjust end points or reverse.

Three quick red flashes after power up either indicates movement or a temperature problem.

Gain at 70% may be a bit high - I'm flying a 500 at 54%

I think the higher gain is for smaller models. At 70% my 500 just jumped around.
I'm surprised it jumped around at 70% gain in Hor mode, alt ...

Not many people have got it to work with Vista, and it tends to screw up the settings.
It shouldn't be a problem with XP though.
