Hi Randy,

Is the esc for your main compatible with your tail motor? If so you could plug your tail motor into the controller for your main motor just to see if it spins up.

It sounds like you have one of the servo wires plugged into the throttle output of your receiver. Trace the wire from the servo back to the receiver to see where it is plugged in.
