For me, side on is much easier. I actually dont mind the 20 past the hour position, which is almost nose in.

Another good option is the CopterX 450SE V2. A nice kit for the money. All parts are directly interchangable with Align parts

I thought they should have been a direct replacement, I have replaced many cx bits in the head with Align parts, you may need Align blade grips or get some copterx thrust bearings
