Hi there,
If the green light comes on when its charging, its safe to assume its your battery is at fault.
You can easily elimate it by trying another battery in your charger.

A simple way to find out is to spin up your helicopter with and without the magnet, if you notice any glitches when the magnet is installed then don't use the magnet.
