The stock gyro obviousely has no remote gain function, so any gyro/gain settings in the DX6i shouldn't make any difference. What way round are you connecting up- turn on Tx then heli still a ...

If you experience bad mesh with the MX400/stock pinion give an Extreme Productions pinion- available under King 2 upgrades. Much longer teeth and I find a great mesh with the Helimax gear.
