I have now increased the TX Gyro gain from 38 to 50% and control seems a lot better. Above 50% there seems to be the onset of a bit of tail wag. So thanks all for your thoughts. The old figure of 38% ...

Yes he seems to use about 50% gain on the Tx with Gyro gain set pot to 100% I see so I will try that


One more thing, there is a video on Helifreak, showing setup on a ALIGN 600 gyro, that cant be ...

Align ESC, HS65 Cyclic.
Align RCE-550 Gyro

Properly just your gain to low.

I have done the Super Stickies clamp mod to the boom ...just using one of the plastic tail rotor servo mountings ...and it works a treat .........certainly worth doing.

The brake is supposed to be disabled for helis - the brake is only for planes.
Still begs the question as to why I cannot set the brake as the ESC doesn't know its in a heli!

align seem to have thier own idea of screw and hexdriver sizes. Their own tools do the job well and fit perfectly.. anything else needs compromise.
