You can drill carbon but don't expect your drill bits to last very long! You also have to be very careful to make sure you're actually cutting the hole not tearing your way through as, again, you will ...

with all those lightening holes I'd say it would be a whole lot easier to make out of aluminium than carbon unless you have access to a CNC machine that doesn't mind carbon dust (it eats bearings).

One more for you to try before you get too technical:

take the blades off, nail the helicopter down and then put the throttle and trim to the maximum (up) position! Then pull the throttle down.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but when I look at those frames I don't see any lateral support. What stops the frame from flexing from side to side?

And the beep sequence is as you described so that confirms it.

However it still doesn't explain why the packaging describes ...

First, take the blades off the heli and nail it down. That way if the motor suddenly starts it won't take your face off!!!

Then try powering up with the throttle stick at full throttle. If it beeps ...

Or if there's a programming card that works with it.

The back of the package lists ...

Richard,

If you can find a short belt (RC car?) could you just add a second pulley to the shaft where the tail rotor blades currently reside and redirect the drive upwards using that?

Can't wait ...

I'd agree with all that raywrightfive said but add to that to also lightly sand and clean the damaged bits just before you apply the epoxy.

Just for interest, to do a by-the-book repair on carbon ...

Another reason for having a BEC seperate from the ESC is that it will still continue to operate even if the ESC goes into shutdown for some reason - overheating, low voltage etc.

In these situatio ...

(There's all sorts of technical reasons but they all pale into insignificance compared to the reason above!)

A laminate of carbon and glass would be the best: carbon for strength and light weight, glass for its resistance to mechanical stress e.g. compression around screw holes etc.

And there's nothing mu ...

Sounds very similar to the way my ESC failed when the original brushed motor popped its spuds.

I could get the motor to run from 75% to 100% but no less. But all the servos worked fine.

I sugge ...

They do a complete helicopter kit with a mix of flashing and always on LEDs. It just plugs into a spare channel on the RX e.g. ...
