I use velcro strips too. Stick two pieces on the top and bottom of the cover, then cut them to allow the cover to come of. Then use two more strips that are not cut to hold cover in place.

I fitted an Xtreme Front Battery Mount on my King and use a Belt CP canopy, which fits fine.

Yes, I think 1.5mm is what I drilled mine out to.

all sorted, tidied up the cableing, and fit new canopy (which i think gives the king a more agresive look), quite happy with the result, and here is the result:
