You haven't said what size they are. If they are greater than 2000mAh then you will not be charging at even 1C, consequently they will take quite a while to re-charge.

There are lots of posts about whether the Futaba s9257 needs a stepdown.
IMHO its best to play safe and fit one unless you use the 5V setting from the BEC for all the electronics.

Set your ESC up for 'soft start'.
With around 3 degrees of negative pitch you should not be slamming it into the ground. As with any movement of the sticks it should small and gentle.

Yes, you can program the Throttle Hold curve, found in the Advanced Menu. I have mine set the same as my Normal curve.

Go into the THR-HOLD menu and change the INH to either OFF or ON depending on which position switch G is. Towards you is ON. You do not need to change anything else for an electric.

H1 for Helicommand because it doesn't use CCPM mixing, that is done by the RC-module. In other words one servo for Aileron, one for Elevator and one for Pitch.

I believe its the same as Trex - HR3.
Unlike the Trex the swash moves down for + pitch.

You cannot change Throttle Hold from switch G. The only way would be to physically move switch G and switch E.

The CellPro 10S is around £124.00. Its rated at 10A, and has lots of options using the software.
It charges my Lipos a lot faster the the Cellpro 4S.
