Have you ever had a sticky tail pitch slider or a swashplate that sticks on the mainshaft? This tip will give you a smooth finish so your slider can operate freely. Automotive stores or your local hardware store sell metal polish that can be used on most types of metal. Remove the tail pitch slider and hub. Remove the main rotor hub and swashplate, including the links that connect the swash to the servos. Do not attempt this tip without removing the main and tail rotor. Apply a small amount of polish on a rag and plug in your model. Nitro guys you could perform this tip but it would be a lot messier. Hold the helicopter firmly in one hand and spool up the heli. Place the rag with the polish on the tail shaft while the motor is running to create a polished surface. Repeat on the main shaft, and you are done. Try the pitch slider and swash plate on the shafts and repeat the polishing if you still feel binding.
