Heliguy Forum - RC heli forum

First of all forgive me if I double post a problem ansered somewhere else.

I have done all the necessary adjustments and every setup discussed here and I managed to practice hovering for a while. Then a minor crash happened and I broke my carbon tail boom and I replaced it. I replaced it with the normal ( metalic ) tail boom for the belt cp. I threw away the broken one and didnt have the chance to compare it with the new one and see if they have the same length. Anyway, after trial and error I decided that the metalic one is longer than the carbon one and I shortened it with metal cutting tool. Well, I did setup the tail again and found the "sweet spot" of the tail servo and the heli manages to take off, but, after a while, it becomes very unstable: it starts rotating sometimes clockwise and other times anti-clockwise according to whether I added some ruder or not while the heli was on the air. I am trying to figure out what is going on. Any suggestions what to try next?

P.S. I also changed tha both main and tail blades and put wood/plastic ones, although the heli was the full carbon edition + metalic head.
