All seemed to go fine so far (considering that i have two left hands
The motor plane doesnt align well with the main wheel plane, the motor's teeth are lowering about 1.5mm under the main wheel plane. I measured the teeth are around 4.5 mm long on both the motor and main wheel. Of this depth 1.5 mm are falling under the main wheel teeth.
All in all the contact surface between the motor and main wheel is 2/3 of the original. I beleive the forces in this area are rather big eg during a crash. I'm afraid that if i leave it like this it'll dent the main wheel in time.
This is with the original CF main frame mount:
I'm a bit stuck now thinking how can i/should i raise the motor up on the mounting surface. The old motor mount is too thick to put it under the motor to raise it up. I could use some alloy spacers from the old frame, but i think it'll give the chance for torque in the motor mount. Did I do somthing wrong? From all the pictures i've seen i believe that teh CF motor has a longer shaft then the stock one. Dunno...
Did anyone else experince similar stuff? Did i miss somthing in the assy of the main wheel?
PS:
NOTE:
A side note for the ones upgrading from HBK2 CF edition. You need to buy also the "ESK001 - Alu. Anti Rotation Bracket (For Esky King 2)"
The CF one doesnt fit on the new extreme frame:
