I was doing some gentle figure of 8's when suddenly the King started yawing out of control, then it ended up inverted, still in idle up so applied full neg pitch, it started climbing inverted still spinning out of control (it would have been a spectacular display if it was on purpose !!!).
Somehow it ended the right way up spinning out of control. I took it out of idle up, by now it was drifting towards the river Clyde so had no option but to cut the power.......THUD !!
Damage relatively light considering: blades, feathering shaft - obviously and one boom support.
Subsequent investigation showed the tail servo was not responding, by-passed the gyro and it works fine.
I had a similar yaw problem a couple of weeks ago and thought it was belt slippage as every other component seemed serviceable.
The Telebee 302 gyro initialises i.e. the blue light comes on but the servo is dead if it is plugged into it. I have fiddled with all adjustments both on gyro and TX and everything is pointing to the gyro as the culprit !
Anyone else had similar problems ?
Guess I'll have to save up for a GY 401 !
