...is the noise the main rotor makes when you do a hard turn at speed, adding a bunch of collective! (With the background whhhzzzzzz of the tail motors working their guts off to help the sharp right turn along)

I heard this from my CP2 for the first time tonight! The last two days I've flown outside. I don't have a huge garden but it's much much bigger than my living room, and once you're over head height has very few obstacles (just a telephone wire going to next door). Yesterday, I flew two full batteries in IDLE UP, totally incident free. Tonight I nearly managed two more batteries in idle up incident free, except I did my first true nose in flight (with the nose pointed straight at me), and I didn't turn tight enough at the end. I was so sure I had piled into the shed, I almost missed that I had actually avoided hitting the shed altogether, and I was so amazed I was still flying, promptly I wasn't any more! (Although the heli did land right side up and stayed on its skids, just had to readjust the flybar paddles and slide the tail motor mount back on from the very hard landing). But a damage free crash, at least.

Also tonight I flew it fast enough where the cyclic worked like ailerons, and I could turn it using very little tail rotor input. Also, it climbed and descended with aft/fore cyclic stick movement. This I found became noticable at around 5 mph or so forward speed. It's kind of scary how little control movement it takes to get the heli going at a pretty good speed. I could only really safely let it get up to 10 mph for about one second or so in the space I had... or try and do a tight figure 8 at speed. It was then I heard the beautiful thwap thwap thwap thwap sound from the rotor as I made hard turns! I really wanted to fly it in the field behind the house, but had to resist that temptation because it's now full of sheep.

Whatever the detractors say about the CP2, I really like mine and I'm having so much fun with it. I need to get some video next!
