Going to a CP from a Co-Ax.

Ok, basically your starting from scratch to a point, yes you know what sticks do what and you will have some co-ordination, but .. Single rotor and co-ax are worlds apart in terms of control, it will not be a simple transition, it will be hard and forget that you can do nose in on the coax, you wont be doing it on the single rotor that quickly.

I would get used to an FP Heli first, as once your able to comfortably fly that round, the transition to CP is so much easier.

I had two co-ax helis before I got my Honey bee CP2 and crashed it smashing it to pieces!! (Still had the Co-ax theory of just give it alot of throttle to get it off the ground) After a hefty repair bill and loads of time looking at forums setting it up correctly. ( Thanks for all the help this forum is the best place for all things heli)

So I finally had it all back together and working took off and crashed again pretty much instantly! After that I downgraded to my Honey bee FP and looking into Radds school of flight I havnt looked back.

Since then I have modded my CP2 to the point where it is unrecognisable and have mastered hovering my FP around the garden. My FP was what I would call the first heli I could actually control and helped me sooooo much in flying my brand new King 2. The parts for the FP are cheap and easily available which is very important when in the early stages where ur crashing a couple of times a battery. Saying that the FP can take alot of damage and most crashes are just a case of straightening out the blades and your flying again ( which definatly wont happen with any CP heli )

My short experiance would definatly suggest that you get the FP first and go from there. After mastering that I flew my King 2 pretty much straight out of the box.
