My CP2 (or rather CP3 as I now call it, since it has a 3100KV brushless motor and alloy head, and twin tail motors) weighs 390g with the battery installed (the standard CP2 is something like 305g with battery). I thought, just for fun, I'd find out what it could get out of ground effect.

So, I got the Lord of the Rings trilogy. With all 3 DVDs in the box, it could do no better than slide around the floor. With 2 DVDs in the box, it could slide around the floor a bit better (and try really hard to tip over). With 1 DVD in the box - the box + a DVD weighs 200g, it could get out of ground effect. It looked pretty funny flying around the room with the LOTR box taped to the skids Smile So now I know, with the 10T pinion on the motor the rotor will make about 600g thrust!
