After weeks and weeks of cutting, hacking, fiddling and setting up I've finally finished a list of mods I wanted to do on my second Belt CP. It hovers (that is still all I can do) like a dream
Here are the mods
- DTS mod with SG90 and mini titan servo trays
- DX6i, GY401 + S9257 for tail and External UBEC
- Trex CNC tail servo holder, metal canopy pins, main shaft, tail rotor shaft
A few things that I want to note:
1- The Trex tail rotor shaft has a slighly narrower pulley compared to the Esky one (which is bent by default
2- As the frame is already somewhat weakened by the DTS mod, I was worried about the Trex canopy pins as each pin simply holds on to one side of the frame, and may easily bend or break the frame around the pin holder. I cut a short bit out of an old flybar to connect the two pins together. The end without thread is filed smaller in order to jam it into one of the canopy pin. The other end (with thread) goes into the other canopy pin, with an M2 nut inside the frame for added strength. The result is fantastic, the frame and canopy pins are SO much stronger (demonstrated in the photos below using a spare frame set)
3- And, finally this is my turn table for adjusting gyro
