Heliguy Forum - RC heli forum

Im not sure what caused it but the helicopter tipped fully forward and nose dived with the blade smacking the floor and fracturing. I tried to kill the throttle but it was maxed out and it wouldnt turn off so i stood there and watched the copter flicking around on the floor like a fish out of water. It was hovering and then in a split second it headed for the floor out of control

the motor was smoking and the battery has swollen up like a baloon lots of links are snapped going to the blades the canopy is cracked. the training kit got snapped the tail boom looks bent. and the belt has been shreaded to death.

I have a cut hand and arm where i dived on it to try and prevent further damage i also have lots of bruising across my wrist and knuckles from the main blade that was left

what would have cuased the battery to swell up and really smell putrid?
also what would make the motor smoke?
and all the servos were all jammed in position apart from the tail one which i could still move


i think i might just buy a new one as i have the bug now i have had a defeat. I could use this one for spares.
