It seems the flight time my neighbor and I are getting on the belt CPs is very short. He is used to a brush motor, and I am pretty new to the whole RC thing. Both are running stock Belt CPs with brushless outrunner and 1800maH batteries. He flies harder than me, but if he is flying aggressively, he only gets about 6 minutes (all upright, not inverted). I can get about 10+ minutes just hovering.
Advertised was up to 20 minutes, and while I didn't expect that much (it is advertising after all), I am quite disappointed.
Also, I guess this is a brushless/esc type of thing, but when the battery gets to about 10.5 volts, you just have enough time to pull collective back and autorotate, the motor just dies with very little warning (a few seconds). He has ordered a 2100maH battery, but don't know if the extra weight will negate any extra flight time.
Does everyone else have the same experience?
