Hi guys, wonder if any of you can help?

I replaced the stock motor and esc with Esky 3100 and 25A ESC because the stock motor wouldn't power up smoothly, I'd wind up the stick and nothing happened, then it'd jump into life at near full stick (and I could back it off again before the heli lifted).

I've had the new motor for a while and always had the same problem with it, but now it's got so bad that the motor won't run. I don't think it's the pot in the TX or radio glitching because the swash moves up smoothly, and flicking idle up doesn't make the motor spin either. And I don't think it's the batt because all the servos move OK

letting the motor cool down hasn't helped. should it be hot? I'm just running it, holding it down, while setting up links and pitch etc. could I have broken my motor puting the pinion on too roughly?

any clues?
