I'm well, well, well cheesed off.
Took the opertunity this evening to replace my feathering shaft with a stainless steel upgrade. Took the blade holders to bits, checked the O-rings for wear and started to put everything back together. First blade holder, fitted the larger thrust bearing nearest the head and the smaller on the outside... lovely. Proceeded to assemble the other blade holder, and guess what? Both the thrust bearings are the same larger size!!!!!!
The bearings have not been changed since I bought the heli as RTF. All this time I've been aware of slight tracking problems and put it down to my shoddy setup. Not untill yesterday on a little fly-about did I realise the tracking was fine one minute, the next way out!
Those of you out there who have bought RTF belt-cp's, please, please check your thrust bearings. Could explain any tracking issues you have!
Could someone be kind enough to confirm the part No of the thrust bearings so I can order the correct replacements
Cheers
Steve
