Walkera 38 not locking in transmitter signal

I just got my walkera 38 big tandem rotor helicopter from Hong Kong, my problem is it's not locking in the transmitter signal. I see the LED flashing quickly which the manual indicates it's receiving the signal but it doesn't lock in or the LED doesn't go steady. Can anybody tell me what the problem is? Thanks. Mad

I figured out the problem with it, it seems you have to attached the battery to the helicopter while the transmitter is flashing or it will not lock in.

Also I received a reply to my inquiry to the sellers product support, I was told to plug in the lipo to the helicopter first then immediately turn on the transmitter. I haven't tried this because I'm afraid the motor will turn on out of control.
