After getting used to the new brushless motor, I thought I'd try some flying in the wind, very risky as i'm still a new piolt. I was geting on well with extra power, I found it a lot more controlable in the wind.

The heli was all over the place up and down but it was very gusty, I was very pleased with my self but it all came to an end when it got too near and hit one of the ride on cars in the garden.

It did not seem that bad a crash as I only cliped the blade on the car and heli was close to the ground so I cut power and it fell on its side.

Damage caused:-
Broken Blade - this was expected but did not think it would be this bad!

Bent feathering shaft - again what you would expect

Bent pitch link rod
Front servo gears stripped - Not expected and only found out when trying to repair.

After removing the feathering shaft I have managed to strighten out AGAIN although people will say you shouldn't.

As I don't have any spare blades I repaired it with super glue and clear tape until I can get new ones, I didn't think it would work but gave it a try and was suprised to find blanced up ok as well not a bad job!

The pitch link rod luckly these are easy to bend stright

As for the front servo I was lucky to have a old one so I opened them both up and luckly the stripped gears were different in each one so I made a good one from the two Wink

I then had a test and after tracking the blades found it flew nice very suprised as I thought with the damage it was going to be grounded for a while
