No proof of drones flying close to planes in UK – FOI report

There is NO concrete proof that a drone has ever flown close to manned aircraft in UK skies, a Freedom of Information (FOI) request has revealed. DJI consumer drones to come with plane and helicopter detection to reduce collision risk

DJI has committed to installing aeroplane and helicopter detectors in new consumer drones, as part of a 10-point plan to ensure the world’s skies remain safe in the drone era. Opposition is mounting against a controversial proposal to charge UAV operators as part of the UK Drone Registration Scheme, with critics blasting the idea as outrageous and detrimental to the future of model flying.
