In this post, we will look at how to balance the DJI Osmo Mobile 3 Smartphone Gimbal. To complete this you will need the Osmo Mobile 3 and a mobile device that can run the DJI Mimo App.
We also recommend fully charging the Osmo Mobile 3 before completing these steps.
Step 1
Unlock the tilt axis by unfolding the gimbal.
Step 2
Unfold the smartphone grip, ensure the DJI logo is the right way up.
Step 3
Insert your smartphone into the grip on the Osmo.
Step 4
If the phone tilts off to one side you will need to balance the Osmo Mobile.
Step 5
Slide the phone through the grip to find the point where the phone doesn't tilt either way. Keep feeding the phone back and forth until you feel the point where you can let go and it won't move side to side.
Step 6
Turn the DJI Osmo Mobile 3 and turn it into portrait mode. Now adjust the grip back and forth until you feel the phone not tilting either way.
Step 7
To ensure the Osmo Mobile has balanced correctly, move the device around and ensure it stays in position. If it does not and falls, either way, you may need to rebalance it.
Step 8
You can now turn your Osmo Mobile 3 on and start using it.
