We are offering the DJI Zenmuse X5R without lens. The Zenmuse X5R without lens option means that it is not shipped with the DJI MFT 15mm f/1.7 ASPH lens that is usually shipped. This gives you more budget towards the lens of your choice. You do still get the SSD that comes with the Zenmuse X5R as standard.

Thanks for your help. I think I will design one. I did see one that wraps around the base of the handle and has the tripod screw thread offset to the side. I think I can do better, a hinged bottom plate, with a tripod screw hole in the center and a clasp that inserts into the handle release slot.
